GENELEC DSP SERIES
GENELEC launched the new DSP based main speakers and subs. At the moment they are producing two models of two-way speakers (8240A and 8250A) based on their analog brothers 8040A and 8050A including DSP on board featuring digital and analog audio inputs, and three subs (7260A, 7270A and 7271A) again based on their analog brothers featuring digital audio inputs only. All this models feature Network IN and OUT separately to the audio path and all speakers still include DIP switches for classical manual set-up. They sounds great as GENELEC and speakers are more improved comparing to the JBL monitors. Additionally they developed GLM (Genelec Loudspeaker Management) software supporting up to 25 speakers and 5 subs monitoring at the same time in one network chain, and AUTOCAL (automated filter calibration algorithm), everything in order to set the speakers in their environment more easily.
